Brussels sprouts contain the antioxidant vitamin C, which can help fight skin damage, reduce wrinkles and improve overall skin texture.
- 1 ½ lbs Brussels sprouts
- 2 T olive oil
- 1 t sea salt
- ½ t ground pepper
Preheat oven to 400˚ F. Trim Brussels sprouts by trimming the bottom and halving. Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt and pepper until evenly coated. Roast on a baking sheet for 30-45 minutes, shaking the pan every 10 minutes. When some of the leaves become a dark brown color, take out just those leaves until all are a uniform brown color – almost black but not burnt. Serves 3-4
